We are seeking a talented and dedicated CHEF plus multiple KITCHEN ASSISTANTS who are passionate about people, quality food and great coffee to join our team at our Merlo Coffee Toowoomba stores: Russell Street, Wyalla and Xpress. Flexible hours over a 7 day roster. Casual hours with potential Full Time role for the right fit.
Role and Location
Locations: Merlo Coffee Toowoomba stores — Russell Street, Wyalla and Xpress. Shift pattern: Flexible hours over a 7 day roster; casual hours with potential Full Time role for the right fit.
About you
Chef: minimum 2 years of experience in a cafe or restaurant environment is required. Cert IV in Commercial Cookery or higher.
Kitchen Assistant: minimum 1 year prior experience required. Ideally a certificate in Commercial Cookery/Hospitality.
Responsibilities
- Kitchen organisation: manage the workflow and meet preparation targets, complete food safety checklists and other OH&S; procedures, order stock and food items for the store.
- Creative culinary flair; experience in planning and executing exciting menus.
- Able to work in a fast paced environment and an ability to work autonomously.
- Sound food safety and hygiene knowledge; high attention to detail.
- A fun, hardworking and energetic attitude towards work; demonstrated understanding of the Merlo workplace culture.
