Zoos Victoria operates four landmark zoos, Healesville Sanctuary, Kyabram Fauna Park, Melbourne Zoo and Werribee Open Range Zoo. Our VE Assistant's are responsible for the excellent delivery of all elements of the Visitor Experience eg admissions, retail and café services. Candidates must be physically fit eg on their feet for the shift.
Key Responsibilities:
* Professional, courteous and knowledgeable customer service delivery
* Ability to sell admissions, encounters and memberships
* Cash and food handling responsibilities
* Excellent team and interpersonal skills
* Ability to operate computerised Point of Sale
The ideal candidate will maintain the following:
* Excellent understanding and knowledge of customer service principles and how to create a positive visitor experience alongside the ability to translate knowledge into effective team delivery.
* Ability to work autonomously and also be a successful team member.
* Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and listening)
* IT skills (e.g., Outlook, Teams)
* Financial acumen e.g., numerical ability and cash handling
* Ability to establish rapport and to contribute to a pro-active work culture.
* Maintain a courteous and respectful attitude to staff and visitors
* Maintain a professional appearance at all times
and the ability to obtain the following if not already in possession:
* Working with Children Check (Employee)
* National Police Check
* First Aid Certificate (Level 2 minimum)
* Victorian drivers licence
* Food safety certificate
