TECHNICAL SALES REPRESENTATIVE – HD PUMPS (Winnellie, NT)

We are seeking a motivated and technically minded Sales Representative to join our Winnellie team and drive sales growth while delivering outstanding customer solutions.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This is not a sit-behind-the-counter sales role.
As a Technical Sales Representative, you will be actively engaging with customers, identifying their needs, and providing practical, solution-based outcomes across our range of pumps and water equipment.
You'll be working both in-store and with trade and commercial clients, combining technical knowledge with strong customer service to build lasting relationships and grow the business.
This role includes rostered Saturday morning shifts as part of the standard work schedule.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide technical sales support and advice to customers (trade, retail, and commercial)
Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate pump and water equipment solutions
Prepare and follow up quotes in a timely manner
Process sales orders and ensure accuracy of documentation
Maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers
Work closely with the service and operations teams to ensure seamless delivery
Assist with stock control, merchandising, and store presentation
Contribute to achieving sales targets and overall business growth
Participate in Saturday morning roster as required
ABOUT YOU
You are a practical, customer-focused individual who enjoys solving problems and working with technical products.
To be successful, you will have:
Minimum 1-2 years experience in technical sales, preferably in pumps, irrigation, plumbing, or related industries
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to understand and explain technical products and systems
A proactive and results-driven attitude
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
High level of customer service and professionalism
Solid computer skills (quoting, invoicing, and basic admin)
Additional Requirements:
Ability to pass a National Police Check
Licences:
Manual Driver's Licence
Forklift Licence (or willingness to obtain)
