Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the effective management and execution of repairs and maintenance at our Townsville Asphalt Plant.
* The ideal candidate will work independently, collaborating with Asset and Production teams to prioritize tasks and ensure seamless operations.
* They will guarantee that all manufacturing plant equipment meets relevant safety standards.
* Our Maintenance Technician will maintain equipment to an exceptionally high standard to enable optimal operational performance and facilitate business objectives.
* Key responsibilities include completing programmed maintenance tasks, ensuring permits and safety documentation are in order, and overseeing contractor and labor supervision onsite.
* Daily plant inspections will be conducted by the successful candidate to monitor equipment condition and detect potential defects.
* A commitment to participating in plant shutdown programs is also required.
Responsibilities:
1. Ensure all equipment meets relevant safety standards
2. Perform regular maintenance checks and complete scheduled maintenance tasks
3. Oversee contractors and labor personnel on site
4. Conduct daily plant inspections to identify equipment issues
5. Monitor equipment condition and report defects
6. Participate in plant shutdown programs
