Job Summary:
This role involves maintaining and repairing various assets to ensure they meet safety and reliability standards.
* Maintain and repair locomotives, rail cars, wagons, plant, and infrastructure.
* Adhere to health and safety regulations and technical specifications.
* Keep accurate records and documentation of asset conditions, maintenance activities, and costs.
* Report completed work against the scheduled program.
* Contribute to the development and enhancement of work procedures for continuous quality improvement.
Roster and Remuneration:
You will work a 3-week rotating roster:
* Week 1: Monday to Saturday – 0630 – 1430
* Week 2: Monday to Friday – 0630 – 1430
* Week 3: Monday to Friday – 1400 – 2200
About You:
* Proficient in computer use.
* Possesses strong interpersonal communication skills.
* Experience in repairing and maintaining locomotives and rolling stock is highly valued.
* Demonstrates robust fault-finding and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings.
* Knowledgeable in relevant legislation, including health and safety acts.
* Experience with locomotives and wagons is beneficial but not required.
