About the Role
The Care Worker Coordinator provides supervision, development and operational support of Care Workers delivering Community Aged Care services to clients. This position ensures that services are:
* Person-centered, high-quality, and aligned with Wesley Mission Queensland (WMQ) policies and procedures and Aged Care Quality Standards.
* Operationally efficient through workforce planning, scheduling support, and compliance monitoring.
* Sustainable and growth-focused, contributing to workforce engagement and client satisfaction
Key Role Accountabilities:
* Provide direct supervision to Care Workers, ensuring workforce capability, compliance, and performance.
* Conduct regular check-ins, provide Care Workers with feedback, conduct regular team meetings, and conduct quarterly performance reviews.
* Monitor Care Worker availability, leave, and rostering impacts, ensuring service continuity.
* Lead staff engagement initiatives, addressing challenges to enhance job satisfaction and retention.
* Collaborate with rostering and scheduling teams to optimise workforce availability.
* Assist in recruitment, onboarding, and be responsible for the training of new Care Workers particularly about the Wesley Charter, including WMQ values.
* Ensure all care services meet Aged Care Quality Standards and WMQ policies.
* Support Care Workers with compliance training, incident reporting, and risk management.
* Conduct spot checks, audits, and follow-ups on service delivery quality, then provide feedback to the Care Worker and incorporate areas that require improvement into their development plan.
About You
* Three to five years of experience in leading, managing, or coordinating teams in aged care/community services.
* Demonstrated knowledge of Support at Home service delivery models, compliance and workforce planning.
* Strong interpersonal, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills.
* Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office, client management systems).
* Valid Driver's Licence and willingness to travel as required.
* Ability to meet vaccination and probity check requirements under legislation.
Desirable:
* Certificate IV (or higher) in Community Services, Management, or related field.
* Previous experience in staff recruitment, workforce rostering or operational planning.
