The Role
To be successful in securing this job you will have recent experience as a Contracts Administrator on a mixture of education, health, industrial, retail and residential projects worth $10M and above.The role requires a leader who is conversant with building codes, standards, and build methodologies and has a solutions-driven approach, with the initiative to solve problems and manage conflict, and who is driven by project, personal, team and company success.
Key Responsibilities
* Progress claim assistance, external variations, preparation of subcontractor packages.
* Reviewing, negotiating, and finalising subcontracts.
* Administering RFI’s.
* Preparing subcontract package’s (scopes, procurement and scheduling).
To be Successful:
* Previous experience as a Contract Administrator, Project Coordinator, or in a similar administrative role within the building and construction industry is highly advantageous.
* A Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline will be highly regarded
* Exposure to head contract work and scopes.
* Experience in sub contract claims, variations, EOT’s and cost planning.
* Passionate person, with a thirst for challenge and energy to over achieve.
* Proficient in software packages, MS project
* Clear detailed writing skills.
* Can minute projects minutes
* Has experienced in forecasting and budget reports
* Converse with confidence
* Is a team player
* Can explain clearly to contractors what they require.
* Has negotiation skills
