Job Role Summary
The primary objective of this position is to contribute effectively as a pipeline designer, exchanging ideas and information relating to pipeline design efficiently.
This individual will work autonomously within established pipeline design procedures and practices, acting as a lead to coordinate the work of others.
They will propose improvements to processes and methods within the pipeline design discipline.
In this leadership capacity, they will be involved in all projects assigned to them, delivering deliverables as required in consultation with engineering leads.
Key Qualifications:
* A minimum of 10 years of experience with major contractors or consultants, including 5+ years in offshore oil and gas.
* Experience as Lead Designer on a small or medium-sized project is essential.
* A high school graduate with a diploma in Mechanical Design, or Drafting in a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
* Advanced depth and breadth of expertise in Plant Design and using 3D CAD systems, including E3D or SP3D.
* Detailed knowledge of AutoCAD and good knowledge of other engineering disciplines.
* Familiarity with local regulatory environments and international/national industry standards and specifications.
* A minimum of 1-2 projects' experience in E3D/S3D.
* Capability to handle multiple projects and knowledge of QA Systems.
* A good communicator and knowledgeable in project coordination and execution skills.
* Detailed knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Auto lisp Programming, 3D Modeling, Menu, and/or Macro compilation skills would be an advantage.
Primary Responsibilities:
* To perform design and engineering process facilities within a specified time while adhering to maintenance, safety, and quality standards, considering constructability, economics, and operation.
* Flexibility for business travel/assignments is required.
