We are Athena – a fintech transforming home loan lending in Australia, aiming to lighten the loan for Australians, reducing their mortgage life sentence. Because life is too short for a long home loan.
We're looking for a Technical Support Engineer to join our team. You'll ensure our people stay connected, supported and equipped to do their best work daily.
The Role
* Work closely with Technology and Business teams to co-create the best working environment.
* Participate in projects strategically aligned with company initiatives, focusing on driving self‐service, automation and strategic solutions.
* Deliver a delightful experience to customers of Athena Workplace Technology by owning support requests and incidents.
* Experiment and design the best experience for staff using the latest Apple hardware with collaboration tools such as Miro, Slack, Microsoft 365, Atlassian products and Zoom.
* Improve Athena's end‐user experience and identify support areas for improvement.
* Become a subject‐matter expert (SME) in the technologies that drive highly collaborative and agile workforces.
* Share knowledge with the Athena Team by delivering engaging and valuable education sessions.
Who we're looking for
* Passionate about technology and enjoy educating peers.
* 2‐5 years of experience in fast‐paced, customer‐facing roles.
* Open‐mind, growth mindset, able to familiarize with diverse new technologies.
* Results‐driven, quality focused, takes ownership of improvements end to end.
* Analytical, troubleshoots complex technical problems, identifies root causes, implements effective solutions.
* Knows when to ask for guidance, debate ideas, research options and when to act.
* Excellent communication skills for creating and maintaining system documentation and work instructions.
* Enjoys sharing ideas and work hacks for productivity.
* Motivated, diligent, highly organised with enthusiasm.
* Committed to working from the office 3 days a week; available for other days as needed.
Experience
* Technology support role focused on delivering great technology outcomes – a must.
* Experience with the Apple ecosystem (macOS and iOS devices) – essential.
* Professional experience with Okta, Office 365, and Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence) – nice to have.
* Experience with device management services such as Jamf, Kandji or other – desirable.
* Experience with security products such as Netskope and Crowdstrike – desirable, not essential.
