We are looking for passionate early childhood educators who are residents of Baw Baw Shire that are looking for a unique and flexible type of work experience. Educators have control over their programming, hours and income!
Family Day Care (FDC) is a national network of qualified childcare professionals committed to providing a unique, flexible, family focused childcare experience for families.
FDC Educators care for a maximum of four pre-school aged children at a time. Educators can choose to offer before and after school care, for up to three more children.
Educators provide care and education for children, within the educator's own home where they manage their own program, with the support and guidance of an experienced and qualified coordination team.
Our Baw Baw FDC Educators have chosen to provide Family Day Care as a professional career in early childhood education and care. At Baw Baw Shire Council we provide, comprehensive initial and ongoing training. Our Coordination unit staff actively monitor and support child placements, with regular visits during care hours to ensure quality and consistency.
To be eligible for this role, you are required to have the following:
• Reside in Baw Baw Shire (essential)
• Hold a Certificate 3 qualification in Child Care (minimum requirement)
• Current First Aid including Asthma and Anaphylaxis Management
• Current National Police check
• Current Working with Children Check
Our FDC Educators are registered contractors who operate their own child care businesses and are valued service providers. Although educators are not employees of Baw Baw Shire Council, they are provided with exceptional support and coaching from the Family Day Care team.
