Medical Officer Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Officer to join our team in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the advancement of medical practices.
* Clinical Expertise: The successful candidate will have experience in caring for children of all ages, including airway and ventilation, IV access, and circulatory support.
* Specialized Knowledge: Credentialled/eligible for credentialling in PICU/ICU/Anaesthesia/Emergency departments in Townsville is required, with experience in retrieval medicine and paediatric experience preferable.
This is a 0.25FTE position, supporting roster cover for retrieval teams out of TUH and for NQ/FNQ, with potential to transfer to SEQ if required.
The role involves working with multidisciplinary teams, participating in regular training and professional development opportunities, and contributing to innovative healthcare solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide support to retrieval services as required.
* Lead the retrieval response to areas in NQ/FNQ when necessary.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Medically fit to fly and perform duties.
* Will to participate in regular HUET/APLS course updates.
* Ability to upskill in paediatric airway management, vascular access, and other areas as directed.
