Apply your expert knowledge and experience in human resources, industrial relations, and employment legislation to provide strategic and operational advice on workforce issues.

The Office of the Commissioner for Public Employment is a central agency with NTPS-wide responsibility for developing the NTPS employment framework and delivering industrial relations services.

The Employee Relations Division is the principal source of advice to the Commissioner on NTPS-wide employee and workforce relations matters and monitors the employment environment to develop innovative and sustainable contemporary NTPS employment frameworks.

As Assistant Director, your primary objective is to provide strategic human resource or industrial relations advice. This could include leading enterprise bargaining; conducting matters on behalf of the Commissioner for Public Employment in the Fair Work Commission; providing strategic consultancy and advisory services on NTPS employee relations policy matters and managing sector-wide policy projects.

Your key duties include leading major sector-wide projects in areas of legislative development, policy, and employment law, managing complex enterprise agreement negotiations and industrial relations matters. In addition, you will provide expert advisory services to agency CEO's, Workforce Services, operational managers, employees, and union representatives.

Considerable experience at a senior level in human resources and policy development, or enterprise bargaining and industrial relations, proven people management and influencing skills supported by demonstrated planning, problem solving, and organisational skills is essential.

As a Principal Advisor you will provide high-level human resource or industrial relations advice and assist with or lead enterprise bargaining or other industrial relations activities and prepare reports and recommendations on complex conditions of employment.

Your key duties will include assisting with or leading enterprise bargaining or other industrial relations activities and preparing reports and recommendations on complex conditions of employment. In addition, you will participate in complex sector-wide employee relations and or industrial relations projects and undertake research and analysis to identify relevant and emerging employment trends.

To be successful you require considerable experience in human resources and policy development, or enterprise bargaining and industrial relations, well-developed conceptual, analytical and project management skills supported by demonstrated planning, problem solving, and organisational skills is essential.
