PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE ROLE: The Performance Analyst / Project Controls lead plays a pivotal role in supporting the Northern Region Infrastructure Delivery team through analysis of project and program data across financials, timelines, and delivery performance. The role is key to enabling data-driven decision-making, preparing high-quality reports, dashboards, and presentations that inform senior management and stakeholders on project health and trends. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Analyse project and program-level data including financials (budget vs actual), schedules, risks, and performance metrics. Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and insights using Excel, PowerPoint, and Word for senior leadership and stakeholder presentations. Support tracking and performance reporting of brownfield and greenfield infrastructure delivery across treatment plants, linear assets, and Avoid Fail programs. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and finance teams to ensure data accuracy, alignment, and completeness. Identify and communicate trends, risks, and performance opportunities to assist in proactive decision-making. Drive continuous improvement in performance monitoring, data handling, and reporting tools/processes. Assist in preparation of executive-level summaries and insights related to program performance and delivery metrics. ESSENTIAL REQUIRMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline. Minimum 10 years of professional experience in data analysis, project controls, or performance management within infrastructure or capital delivery environments. Proven ability to synthesise large volumes of data and present actionable insights. Expertise in Excel (including pivot tables, dashboards, and advanced formulas). Strong presentation and reporting skills using PowerPoint and Word. Experience working with financial, schedule, and project data within complex programs. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment. DESIRABLE SKILLS: Experience in infrastructure delivery or utilities (e.g., water, energy, transport). Familiarity with project management tools such as P6, Power BI, or similar reporting systems.
