This role is pivotal to the continued success and strategic growth of batyr’s presence in South Australia.The SA State Manager will be responsible for expanding batyr’s reach, visibility, and impact across the state. With a focus on establishing and strengthening relationships, this role will engage deeply with schools and universities, youth and mental health service providers, State and local Government bodies, including local councils and Primary Health Networks (PHNs) and key community stakeholders.Working alongside our trained facilitators, the SA State Manager will oversee the booking, coordination and delivery of school, uni and community programs, building relationships with new and existing partners and ensuring that batyr’s impact is felt across the region. They will work with batyr’s Brand Team to build recognition and trust in the community through events and activations. They will also work closely with batyr’s Partnerships Team to support funding partnerships and ensure alignment with broader organisational objectives, supporting sustainable regional growth.Working collaboratively with other State and Program Managers, the SA State Manager will ensure alignment with national strategy and program goals, while tailoring efforts to meet regional needs. With no direct reports initially, the role will establish the groundwork for future team development and long-term impact in the region.The SA State Manager will report directly to the Head of Programs. All candidates will need to hold a current Working with Children Check and Police Check, or be willing to obtain these within one (1) month of starting the role.Key ResponsibilitiesTogether with the Head of Programs, develop and implement a clear strategy to grow batyr’s presence in South Australia, including setting measurable program delivery and expansion KPIs, aligned with batyr’s national goals and objectives.Cultivate meaningful relationships with existing and new secondary school partners, universities, TAFEs, community groups, youth services, and key local stakeholders.Support the day-to-day operational delivery of programs in SA, including facilitation where required, and respond to region-specific needs.Ensure the region’s expenses and decisions align with the state expense budget.In collaboration with the Government Engagement Manager, foster relationships with state and local government bodies, including local councils and PHNs to enhance impact and strengthen batyr’s presence in the community.Work alongside the Partnerships Team to identify and secure funding opportunities aligned with strategic targets and oversee related projects.Oversee the planning, execution, and reporting of funded projects in the region, ensuring alignment with timelines, budgets, and impact benchmarks.Monitor and evaluate program outcomes, adjust strategies as needed to drive impact, meet quality benchmarks, and support future growth.Represent batyr at industry events, community gatherings, and stakeholder meetings to raise awareness, build relationships, and increase brand recognition and presence across SA.Manage recruitment and onboarding processes for new hires, with support from the People Team.Ensure the Head of Programs is informed of program quality, key achievements, emerging challenges, and factors influencing regional outcomes.2-3+ years of experience in a similar roleActive interest in tackling the stigma around mental healthProven experience in overseeing program and/or service delivery with measurable outcomesExceptional verbal and written communication skillsProven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholdersExperience in managing projects from planning through to implementation and evaluation.Proven experience in managing budgets effectivelyProven experience in fundraising, sales, and/or business developmentDemonstrated experience in leading, motivating, and supporting high-performing teams, with a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive team culture.Experience working in the mental health and/or education sectorsRelevant tertiary qualificationsHow to applyPlease email your cover letter addressing the essential selection criteria and CV to careers@batyr.com.au by 9:00am Thursday 19 June, with the job title and where you saw this ad in the subject line.Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, so we encourage you to apply as soon as possiblebatyr is a safe and inclusive workplace.
