Salary: $78,000 - $85,000 per annum (depending on experience)

About the Role
Responsible for day‐to‐day operations of the poultry farm, achieving production targets and ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the poultry farm to achieve production targets.
- Monitor flock health, welfare, and performance, coordinating with veterinarians and poultry specialists as required.
- Oversee egg collection, grading, storage, and quality control processes.
- Implement and maintain biosecurity, animal welfare, workplace health and safety, and environmental management procedures.
- Supervise, train, and coordinate farm staff, ensuring efficient workforce management.
- Monitor feed, water, and environmental systems to optimize bird health and productivity.
- Maintain accurate farm records, including production, mortality, medication, and inventory data.
- Manage equipment and facility maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
- Assist with budgeting, cost control, and inventory management.
- Ensure compliance with relevant Australian regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience in poultry farming, egg production, or livestock management.
- Proven leadership and staff management skills.
- Strong understanding of poultry husbandry, biosecurity, and animal welfare practices.
- Ability to monitor production performance and implement improvements.
- Good record‐keeping, organizational, and problem‐solving abilities.
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transport.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends when required.
Desirable Qualifications
- Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Agriculture, Animal Science, Poultry Production, or a related field.
- Experience managing commercial layer operations.
- Knowledge of farm management software and production reporting systems.
