About the role
Reporting to the Board and being responsive to the Chief Commissioner, the General Manager is responsible for all corporate and administrative functions for the organisation, including leadership/planning, people management, accountability for governance/Board secretariat, finance and budgeting, risk management, funding, ICT, and stakeholder relations. Intending candidates must also understand the "matrix" nature of this organisation given the executive accountabilities to the Board and the volunteer-led nature of the organisation.
People interested in being considered for this position must offer experience in a comparable executive management/leadership role, preferably with experience reporting to a Board in the not-for-profit sector. Previous experience in organisational transformation and leading and managing change are key requirements. The Board seeks to appoint a General Manager who is authentic, courageous, progressive, and ambitious for their organisation, someone who is also committed to the delivery of programs to the sector the organisation serves. A competitive remuneration package will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
