Competitions Operations Coordinator (Gold Coast)
Join to apply for the Competitions Operations Coordinator (Gold Coast) role at Local Organising Committee AFC Women’s Asian Cup 2026 Pty Ltd. This is a contract position starting 2 February until 20 March 2026. The successful applicant will need to have an ABN and will be hired under a service agreement.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Support stadium preparations and match day delivery within Competition areas.
- Coordinate logistics related to youth programme, sports equipment checks, catering and laundering requirements.
- Assist the Competition Operations Manager and AFC General Coordinator in ensuring all competition areas are delivered to AFC regulations and international standards.
- Manage and support a team of volunteers, confirm schedules for each day and manage workforce absences in close alignment with the Competition Operations Manager.
- Track and action all requests related to Competition areas in Stadiums through the prescribed reporting processes.
- Perform any other tasks related to Competition Operations in Stadiums.
- Problem‑solve and support outside the normal scope of the role as advised.
What Gets You in the Game?
- Previous experience in Competition Management or Sport Event Operations.
- Previous involvement within football as an administrator is highly regarded.
- Excellent communicator with strong planning, organisational and administrative skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to consistently deliver at a high standard.
- Capable of working closely and collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, while being self‑motivated and comfortable working independently.
- Problem‑solving skills and sound judgement to achieve results in an international, demanding and changing workplace.
- Comfortable working with people of other cultures and backgrounds.
- High energy levels, strong negotiation and facilitation skills, excellent communication and presentation skills and positive relationship management abilities.
- Fluent in English (oral and written); additional language skills are highly regarded.
Offside Conditions
- Full working rights in Australia (fixed‑term nature of the tournament – no sponsorship available).
- Working with children check (paid/employee) or state‑based equivalent.
- International Criminal History Record for each country (other than Australia) in which you have resided for 12 months or more in the last 10 years (if applicable).
- Out of hours and weekend work as required.
