Responsibilities
Maintain accurate records using TimberSmart, Excel and Monday.com
Conduct regular stock takes, cycle counts and reconciliations
Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies
Generate inventory reports and performance metrics
Support warehouse operations and order fulfillment
Operate forklift and perform general housekeeping including use of scissor lift
Oversee various inventory management activities, including the receipting process, damaged goods handling, stocktaking, cycle counts, stock adjustments, credit returns
Check incoming goods for accuracy
Maintain row accuracy in stock control, including Bulk areas and Driveway
Ensure stock has the correct labels
Ensure full traceability of all stored materials/items
Consolidate stock to create more room for inbound stock, including the merge/amalgamation of packs
Maintain a clean and safe workspace, and abide by workplace health and safety policies and procedures
Manage stock levels and ensure efficient stock rotation to minimize waste
Understand the range, volumes and adjust storage locations as required
Adjust and understand timber grading and supplier pack variations
Maintain accurate records of inventory, including quantity, quality, and location of timber products
Understand customer service & supplier documentation and monitor accuracy
Make adjustments in company management software
Undertake monthly cycle count stock takes and report to management
Ensure compliance with auditing requirements and maintain organized records for Chain of Custody
Qualifications
Strong analytical & problem-solving skills
Attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organisational & time-management skills for efficient operations
Proficiency in inventory software (ERP, Excel)
High-risk work licence (forklift and scissor lift)
