About the Role
Nuclear Test Engineer will be responsible for coordinating all nuclear steam raising plant maintenance, test evolutions, and certification performed by ASC in support of nuclear-powered submarines at HMAS Stirling and Henderson Defence Precinct.
* Ensure reactor safety during maintenance activities where ASC is the Lead Maintenance Activity.
* Oversight of planning, implementation, and certification of shipboard and pier side nuclear maintenance evolutions.
* Management of Assistant Chief Test Engineers and Shift Test Engineers.
Responsibilities
* Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance plans to minimize downtime and optimize efficiency.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address emerging issues.
* Provide expert guidance on nuclear safety protocols and procedures.
Requirements
* Tertiary qualifications in Nuclear Engineering or a related field.
* Naval Nuclear Propulsion Supervisory Qualifications.
* Minimum 5 years' experience in nuclear power plant operations.
