Aboriginal Family Support Worker
Are you passionate about providing support to Aboriginal children and families? Do you have excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a cross-cultural environment?
We are seeking an experienced Aboriginal Family Support Worker to provide a liaison and support service to children and their families attending the Child, Youth Assessment & Therapeutic Team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide cultural brokerage, liaison, advocacy and support for clients
* Coordinate and facilitate appointments and follow-ups for children and families
Requirements:
* Identify as an Aboriginal person and be recognised and accepted as such by the Aboriginal community
* Excellent communication skills, including ability to communicate effectively in one or more local Aboriginal languages
* Proven experience in providing support to Aboriginal children and families
* Current Driver's Licence
