The Role
We have permanent full-time positions available in Castlemaine on both day and afternoon shifts. Both shifts include rostered days off, with afternoon shifts receiving additional penalty rates.

Rosters available:
Day Shift: Approximately 5:00 am to 3:00 pm — Starting pay rate $24.58 per hour + RDO (subject to availability)
Day Shift: Approximately 6:00 am to 3:00 pm — Starting pay rate $24.58 per hour + RDO
Afternoon Shift: Approximately 3:00 pm to Midnight — Starting pay rate $28.26 per hour (including penalty) + RDO
Your duties may include but are not limited to:
Operate and maintain machinery and equipment used in meat processing, including tasks such as packing, slicing, lifting, pushing, pulling, holding, and carrying
Handle both raw and cooked meat products
Adhere to strict food safety and quality standards throughout the production process
Maintain a clean and organised work environment
Collaborate with the production team and supervisors to ensure smooth production flow and achieve daily targets
Rotate tasks to ensure variety in daily duties
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency
About You
To be successful in this role you must be able to demonstrate the following abilities and personal attributes:
A strong commitment to safe work practices at all times
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with other team members
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while completing repetitive tasks
Able to stand for extended periods
Comfortably lift weights of 15-20 kg frequently
Able to work in chilled temperature rooms
A hardworking attitude and the ability to communicate and interact with people at all levels
Commitment to following established procedures and health and safety practices
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
A genuine commitment to full-time working hours
Must pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening
Please note that previous factory experience is not a requirement for these roles, all employment comes with paid on the job training
