About this role:

The Risk and ComplianceCoordinator will oversee and maintain the School's risk managementsystems and ensure its risk and compliance framework complies withcurrent legal and regulatory obligations. The Risk and ComplianceCorodinator will provide education and training to the School'sstaff on managing risk in a systemised way, improve operationalefficiencies, and upholding best practice to support a positivesafety, risk and compliance culture.

Job tasks and responsibilities:

- Ensuring thealignment of the School's governance, risk andcompliance frameworks with the overall strategicobjectives.
- Providingsupport to the School's key stakeholders in relationto our overall compliance with the Non-Government SchoolRegistration Standards and related laws andregulations.
- Working withother key stakeholders to ensure that the School maximisesstrategic and operational outcomes through the use ofenabling technologies including workflow and riskmanagement software.
- Facilitatingthe promotion of a strong culture of risk and complianceawareness and management with a focus on training andmentoring relevant staff.
- Induct allnew staff members regarding all areas listed belowincluding Campus Emergency Management.
- Reviewingand enhancing the design and implementation of theSchool's Risk Management Framework so that it createsand protects value within the school.
- Facilitatingthe establishment and effective implementation of policiesand procedures that are required to effectively manage riskwithin the school.
- Preparingrisk reports and providing input on all risk issues to theDirector of Operations on a quarterly basis.
- Facilitatingthe identification of key compliance obligations, with thesupport of legal and other relevant resources, andtranslating those requirements into actionable policies andprocedures in consultation with the Director ofOperations.
- Facilitatingthe integration of key compliance obligations into existingpractices and procedures and policy documents.
- Undertakingof campus based compliance reviews.
- Managingreview of policies in place.
- Establishingand ensuring the effective capture of reportable incidentsvia workflow application (complaints, compliance breaches,workplace injuries and near misses, fraud & corruptionincidents).
- Establishingprocesses for investigating and analysing data with respectto reportable incidents.
- Preparingincident management reports and providing input on issuesrelevant to the incident management to the Director ofOperations on a quarterly basis .
- Work withthe School's Director of Human Resources ensuringadequate programs are in place to assist employees ReturnTo Work plans and any injury management plans areworking.
- RunningEmergency Management refresher training for all campusstaff members.
- Inspection(Walkthrough) the campus for hazards each term and reportand advise all staff members to report viaProcessmaker.

Knowledge Skills & Abilities:

- Possess orbe willing to obtain a Working With Children Check(WWCC)
- PreferredBachelor degree in Occupational Health & Safety and/orRisk Management, or other related discipline.
- Previousexperience managing an Enterprise Risk Management,compliance and incident reporting system.
- Demonstratedknowledge of relevant legislation, regulations andguidelines with which the School must comply.
- Ability tocommunicate with others in a way that converts complexcompliance requirements into appropriate language that canbe understood and followed.
- Proficientlevel of knowledge in Microsoft Office suite, includingOutlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Proficientin the use of Google Docs, Sheets and GoogleDrive.
- Strongplanning, organizational, analytical, decision-making andproblem-solving skills.
- Ability toprioritize workload and work within strictdeadlines.
- Excellentpresentation and communication skills.
- Exceptionalinterpersonal and collaborative skills, and an ability tobe able to effectively communicate with staff members andexternal stakeholders.
- Changemanagement and negotiation skills.
- Unrestricteddrivers licence and access to a motor vehicle of goodmechanical order as occasional travel will be required tothe campuses.
