Key to our organization's mission is enforcing public health, environmental, and land use regulations as outlined by various laws. The position we are seeking an applicant for is part of the Planning Department and reports to the Team Leader of Environmental Compliance & Protection.

The role involves providing a high standard of customer service, remaining customer focused and solving problems through consultation and decision making in accordance with our organizational values. Duties will include but not be limited to:

* Providing exceptional customer experience and problem resolution through effective communication and decision making
* Responding to tasks within appropriate time frames and managing workloads to ensure all tasks are completed
* Developing a working knowledge of relevant legislation such as Local Government Act, Environmental Planning and Assessment Act, Protection of the Environment Operations Act, Contaminated Land Management Act, Boarding House Act, Swimming Pool Act and Public Health Act
* Assisting with evidence gathering, accurate note taking, preparing and writing reports and presenting information
* Ability to work as part of a team and assisting staff where required

You will have

* Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Health or equivalent as accredited by Environmental Health Australia or nearing completion thereof
* A current C Class driver's license
