The role
We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team during term time. The successful candidate will be passionate about young children, adolescent health, wellbeing, and is specialised in paediatric care.
You will provide health care to students from Year 7 to Year 12 in accordance with professional nursing practices and guidelines within a school setting. In this role you will need to be professional, friendly and show a genuine care for all students presenting at our Infirmary whilst always maintaining confidentiality.
To be successful in this role, you will have experience in chronic illness management, sports injury management, concussion management, diabetes management, wound care, and other contemporary adolescent health care issues. Additionally, strong administrative skills will be required.
Reporting to the Administration Team Leader, this rare opportunity will commence in mid-January 2026 and will be required to work Monday through to Friday, 9am to 5pm, during term time, plus one week either side of the school year (0.83 FTE).
The successful candidate will be:
* Experienced Registered Nurse qualified and registered (certified by Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia) to practice in SA, cardio-pulmonary resuscitation certificate and trained in responding to diabetes, anaphylaxis and asthma.
* Recent paediatric/adolescent healthcare experience is essential.
* Sports first aid and wound care experience.
* Experience in Diabetes management across a variety of ages.
* Ability to establish rapport and build strong relationships.
* Ability to work effectively in a team.
* Excellent administrative, time management organisational, and record management skills.
* Flexibility and an ability to adapt and operate effectively in a changing environment.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
* Collaborative approach with staff members, students and parents;
* Possess, or be willing to obtain, a Working with Child Check (WWCC) and;
* Possess or be willing to obtain, a Responding to Risk of Harm, Abuse and Neglect-education & Care (RRHAN–EC) training.
