The Role
The Enterprise Architecture (Infrastructure & Cloud Platforms) function within the Architecture and Strategy Branch (ASB) is seeking an EL 1 Enterprise Architect to support the design and uplift of Defence’s evolving digital ecosystem. The role provides architectural leadership across complex, large scale environments, enabling secure, resilient, and high performing technology outcomes that support Defence’s operational and strategic needs.
This role, located within the Enterprise Architecture Infrastructure and Cloud Platforms directorate, is responsible for developing enterprise level architectures spanning on premises, hybrid, and multi cloud environments (including Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud Platform). You will work closely with stakeholders across the organisation to ensure end to end architectural coherence, strategic alignment, and informed investment decision making.
The position requires the ability to provide authoritative advice and produce high quality written artefacts, such as architecture blueprints, strategy papers, options analyses, and executive decision briefs with a high degree of independence.
