About the opportunity

We currently have twoexcitingfull-timepositions, a12-monthfixedtermandanongoingopportunity to be part of the Psychological Health Strategy,Educationteamcontributing to innovative projects that have an important impactonpsychosocialhealth and safetywithin high-risk industries.

Sitting within the new Psychological Health division in the Health and Safety Business Unit, the Program Officer – Psychological Health will form part of a flexible resource pool that work under the direction of the Program Manager within a small team of other Program Officers.

The Program Officer – Psychological Health will support WorkSafe to meet its long-term goals to reduce mental injuries claims by increasing motivation, knowledge and capability of uplift of Victorian employers to meet and exceed their psychological health and safety obligations.

This role will require you to translate complex legislative information and guidance into easy-to-find, easy-to-understand and easy-to-apply information tools and resources for Victorian workplaces. This will require you to work with different digital platforms including managing and designing content for web, developing eLearning, and overseeing the user experience. The goal is to provide a holistic approach to all psych-health content that not only makes compliance achievable but also support enhanced OHS performance.

Key accountabilities will include:

* Work collaboratively within the Psychological Health division and across WorkSafe to lead the scoping,designand development of projects, including working with external consultants and external partners
* Facilitate consultation,meetings or workshops using co-design principles and practices.
* Developand deliver projects in line withWorkSafe's prevention initiative lifecycle,including programlogic, project planning,milestonesand accountability.
* Analyse data,researchand insights to inform project scoping, decision-making and evidence-based recommendations.
* Undertake workidentifiedin project plans and co-ordinate with other WorkSafe teams to deliver agreed projectsand tracking progress.
* Work with internal and external stakeholders to develop evidence-based resources and tools that prevent mental injury and promote psychological health for Victorian workplaces.
* Bring togetherexpertiseand knowledge to translate evidence into practical and tangible information for Victorian workplaces to prevent mental injury and promote psychological health.

You are an experienced Program Officer who wants to make a differencefor Victorian workplacesand has a genuine interest in psychological health. You understand prevention and behaviour changemethodology. Yourwrittencommunicationskills and ability toestablishrelationships with both internal and external stakeholders are outstanding.

You will alsopossess:

* An understanding ofthe legal, policy and the operational environment of WorkSafe Victoria
* Experience withtranslating complex information into simple and easy to understand support.
* Experience working within human-centred design framework and confidence designing for the user experience.
* Experience developing tools and resources tailored for different audience needs and cultural sensitives.
* You also have either a qualification or experience in a related discipline (e.g. health promotion, OHS, health sciences, education, marketing and communications)
* You have a proven ability to liaise in a professional manner with a diverse stakeholder group including senior management, employer groups, unions, external and internal stakeholders
