THE ROLE
An exciting new opportunity exists for a highly experienced Finance Manager to join the Hallett Group. The role will involve managing the financial reporting and compliance function, ensuring that effective reporting and controls are in place. Reporting to the Financial Controller, and leading a the Finance team, you will be an organised individual with strong leadership skills. Our ideal candidate will be driven and strive for the best while solving problems will come naturally and is easily done under pressure. This is a permanent full time role, working from our Dry Creek head office, supported by a fantastic team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES
* Demonstrate a genuine commitment to safety by consistently displaying behaviours aligned with safe work practices
* Support the Financial Controller to ensure the accuracy, timeliness and effectiveness of all financial reporting
* Review monthly balance sheet reconciliations
* Prepare annual income tax and FBT returns with external accountants
* Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, accounting standards and internal control policies
* Provide leadership to, and day to day management of the finance team whilst creating a positive culture
* Manage and mentor the finance team, providing guidance and training
* Support the finance team in accurate and efficient financial operations
QUALIFICATIONS | EXPERIENCE | CAPABILITIES
* Degree in finance, accounting or a related discipline
* Relevant professional certifications (CA/CPA) desirable
* Demonstrated experience leading a team
* Demonstrated experience at mid/senior level in a corporate or private business
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* Effective verbal and written communication skills and strong ability to influence
* Strong ability to build and maintain positive stakeholder relationships at all levels
* A problem solver by nature who is calm under pressure
