Registered Nurse - Recovery/ Anaesthetics - Part-time
About the role:
We have a great opportunity for an enthusiastic Registered Nurse with experience in PACU / Recovery/ Anaesthetics to join our clinical team on a part time basis with a minimum 24 hours per fortnight.Monday to Friday flexible roster, no on-call, no public holidays, closed 3 weeks over the Christmas/ New Year period.
We are always open to upskilling into scrub/ procedural roles.
Duties and responsibilities:
This role will see you working collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary healthcare team to support patient care needs and deliver exceptional clinical outcomes.
- Recovery and Anaesthetics for Endoscopy and minor procedures
- Assist the nursing team to deliver safe, evidence-based patient care
- Ensure the theatre complex and equipment are ready for surgery
- Ensure patient safety and communication with surgical team is always a key focus
- Monitor and evaluate patient recovery, addressing any complications
- Deliver education and support to patients for the management of their recovery
- Supervise and support Enrolled Nurses on shift
About You:
- You have a genuine passion for nursing, providing world-class patient care and adding value to Australian healthcare. You will have:
- Solid experience in Recovery/ Anaesthetic nursing
- Tertiary qualifications in Nursing or similar
- Current AHPRA registration
- Experience in the below specialties desirable
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
