The Role
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Construction Site Manager to lead the delivery of electrical infrastructure and construction works based in Katherine, NT.
This role is offered on a FIFO basis with a negotiable roster, providing flexibility while maintaining strong project leadership on site.
This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for managing site operations, coordinating construction teams, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.
You will oversee day-to-day construction activities, manage site teams and subcontractors, and work closely with project management to ensure works are executed efficiently and to a high standard.
The role requires a strong site leader who can drive productivity, maintain strict safety standards, and ensure clear communication across all levels of the project.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage all on-site electrical construction activities.
* Coordinate supervisors, trades, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure efficient project delivery.
* Ensure works are completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with project specifications and quality standards.
* Plan and coordinate construction workflows, labour, plant, and materials.
* Monitor progress against programme and proactively resolve site issues.
* Maintain compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
* Drive a strong safety culture and safe systems of work across the site.
* Manage site reporting, productivity tracking, and daily operations.
* Maintain effective communication between site teams, engineers, project managers, and clients.
* Support cost control and resource management to ensure successful project outcomes.
About You
You are a proven site leader with the experience and confidence to manage complex construction environments and lead teams effectively.
You bring practical knowledge of electrical construction and understand what it takes to deliver projects safely and efficiently in a demanding site environment.
You will have:
* Demonstrated experience in construction site management, ideally within electrical or infrastructure projects.
* Strong capability in planning construction activities and coordinating site operations.
* Experience managing budgets, resources, and project costs.
* A thorough understanding of construction safety standards and regulatory compliance.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
* Experience working with subcontractors and multidisciplinary construction teams.
* A qualification in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
Experience in electrical infrastructure, substations, power distribution, or industrial construction will be highly regarded.
