The role:
The Buyer is responsible for creating and sourcing a product range which is authentic, creative and reflective of customers across all City Beach platforms. This includes negotiating best terms with suppliers and analysing and managing product sell through instore and online.
The Buyer has a significant impact on the growth across all departments and development of team member performance to drive sales and maximise profitability.
What you'll be doing:
* Sourcing products from local and international suppliers
* Forging strong relationships with suppliers through travel and regular contact
* Use your knowledge of current fashion trends and work with the Product Development Team on new products
* Analysis of your products to gauge performance and guide future decision making
* Monitor department and store comparisons
* Checking purchase orders and order confirmations
* Monitor cancellations and changes to delivery date
* Mentor and develop Assistant Buyers into future leaders of the business
What we're looking for?
* Demonstrated experience working in retail fashion buying
* Strong analytical skills
* Working knowledge of current and current trends
* High level of Microsoft suite skills including Excel
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Tertiary qualification in a relevant field is preferred
