Senior Finance Business Partner – Asset Planning & Delivery We are seeking an experienced and highly collaborative Senior Finance Business Partner to support the Asset Planning & Delivery (AP&D) portfolio on a 6‑month fixed‑term contract.
Compensation: $180k package including 12% super.
Contract: 6‑month fixed term.
Work arrangement: flexible work from home and on‑site at the Footscray office.

Responsibilities
Act as a trusted advisor across AP&D, providing financial insights across our multi‑year capital programs.
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis for capital projects.
Develop financial models, scenario analysis, and commercial evaluations for infrastructure investments.
Assess cost drivers, operational trends, lifecycle costing, and investment prioritisation.
Analyse operational cost performance, resource utilisation, workforce planning and service level outcomes.
Support operational efficiency initiatives, continuous improvement and service sustainability.
Provide insights to drive performance uplift across water supply, wastewater operations and customer service impacts.
Review and challenge business cases, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and value‑for‑money principles.
Prepare high‑quality reporting and recommendations for senior leadership, governance forums and investment committees.
Champion continuous improvement in financial processes, reporting and business partnering practices.
Build strong relationships across finance, planning, engineering and delivery teams.
Strengthen commercial thinking, cost awareness and financial discipline across the organisation.
Skills & Experience
Experience as a Finance Business Partner driving strategic outcomes.
Tertiary qualification and CPA/CA essential.
Experience within utilities, infrastructure or engineering context highly regarded.
Strong commercial acumen with expertise in capital analysis.
Advanced financial modelling and scenario planning skills.
Ability to influence senior stakeholders and guide data‑driven decision‑making.
Excellent communication skills to translate complex financial and technical information into actionable insights.
Proficiency in ERP systems, reporting tools and advanced Excel.
