About the role
Latrobe Regional Health (LRH) is a leading provider of health care services across the Gippsland Region. LRH is looking for an Endocrinology Advanced Trainee to join our growing team on a full‐time (1.0EFT) fixed‐term basis until January 2027. The Endocrinology Advanced Trainee provides consultative endocrine services to both inpatients and outpatients, working closely with senior medical staff within the Department of Endocrinology. This accredited training position contributes toward Fellowship in Endocrinology and offers a broad clinical experience across general endocrinology, diabetes, antenatal endocrinology and high‐risk foot services. The role supports service delivery by supervising Basic Physician Trainees and junior medical staff, participating in multidisciplinary care, and contributing to the General Medicine after‐hours and weekend rosters while ensuring safe, patient‐centred care.

Responsibilities
* Provide day‐to‐day medical care to endocrinology patients at a level appropriate to training and experience, under the supervision of senior consultants.
* Deliver consultative endocrinology services across inpatient and outpatient settings.
* Coordinate endocrinology dynamic testing and interpret results in consultation with senior medical staff.
* Supervise and support Endocrinology Basic Physician Trainees, junior medical offers and medical students, providing teaching at the bedside and in formal settings.
* Ensure timely and clear clinical communication, including effective handover and escalation of care issues to consultants when required.
* Participate in General Medicine after‐hours and weekend rosters.
About you
* A Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery (or equivalent), current general registration with AHPRA, and registration as an RACP Advanced Trainee.
* Clinical competence appropriate to your level of postgraduate training, with a commitment to safe, high quality patient care.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to teach and support junior doctors and students.
* A self‐directed, enthusiastic approach to learning, adaptability to changing clinical demands and high standards of professional practice.
