About the Role
Due to growth, We're seeking an experienced Mobile Plant Mechanic to support our Kalgoorlie operations across workshop and field service functions.
Key responsibilities.
· Workshop Repairs & Maintenance – Diagnose, repair, service, and assemble mobile plant equipment (e.g. vehicles, trailers, pumps, engines) to meet safety and technical standards.
· Field Service Support – Conduct on-site maintenance, troubleshooting, and emergency repairs, including pipework installation and inspections at project sites.
· Technical Fault Diagnosis – Use diagnostic tools and documentation to resolve issues in mechanical and electrical systems (e.g. engines, hydraulics, brakes).
· Quality & Compliance – Ensure all work meets safety, quality, and legal standards, with accurate service records maintained.
· Tools & Inventory Management – Maintain tools and equipment to standard, manage spare parts, and keep the workspace clean and organised.
· Teamwork & Mentoring – Collaborate with internal teams, support apprentices, and contribute to improving maintenance processes.
· Client Communication – Update clients on repair progress and equipment status, providing clear reports and recommendations.
· Safety & Environmental Compliance – Follow all HSE procedures and promote a safe, compliant work environment both onsite and in the workshop.
About you
To be successful in this role, you should have:
Qualifications & Experience
* Trade qualification as a Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology or similar
* MR/HR Rigid Driver's License
* High-Risk Work License (LF & DG)
* Mobile Plant Tickets - Excavator, Loader, Tele handler, forklift (Advantageous)
* Construction Industry OHS White card (advantageous)
* 3 years' + experience in a similar role
