About the Role:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Product Manager to join our Rail Department on a full‐time basis.
Reporting to the Defence and Rail Director you'll be responsible for building the Rail team and focusing on the delivery of rail manufacturing and overhaul projects.
Responsibilities
* Leading a team of Project Engineers
* Managing employee development and ensuring succession plans for key positions are in place.
* Develop and maintain effective networks via collaborative customer relationships.
* Profitable expansion of the Rail product line and market share maximization.
* Implementation of strategies to create future opportunities.
* Coordinating R&D initiatives that provide continuous innovation of our products and processes.
* Negotiating technical and commercial conditions with customers.
* Interacting with design engineering and manufacturing personnel on Rail‐related matters.
* Providing technical expertise in product knowledge and a strong mechanical aptitude.
* Promoting and maintaining best practices in executing maintenance, as well as keeping the workplace in accordance with company standards.
* Providing sales projections and marketing data.
* Creation of product marketing brochures.
* Produce product‐specific articles for the Hofmann marketing team to publish in a variety of media formats.

What do you bring?
* Qualification in Engineering or related field
* At least 7–10 years professional engineering experience
* Proficient in Project Management, Engineering Calculations, Sound understanding of Manufacturing processes (Machining, Fabrication & Heat Treatment)
* Strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical information
* Ability to plan, organise and manage resources efficiently to meet deadlines
