About the role McConnell Dowell has an exciting opportunity for a Environmental Advisor to join our project team at our Aura & Harmony trunk infrastructure project on the Sunshine Coast. This role plays a crucial part in the successful operation of a project that is delivering critical new water and wastewater infrastructure to support the growth of Queensland's Sunshine Coast. The position of Environmental Advisor will see out the full life of the project with future opportunities available within the wider McConnell Dowell business. As the Environmental Advisor, your responsibilities will include: Providing advice to construction teams on environmental management requirements to deliver outstanding environmental outcomes. Ensure all activities are performed in compliance with the requirements of the relevant specifications, codes and standards, which form part of the contract and environmental legal obligations. Active participation in identifying and assessing environmental initiatives and programs. Oversee environmental monitoring programs associated with cultural heritage, ecology, water, waste, noise, air. Undertaking inspections, audits and environmental monitoring. Reporting, interpretation of results and action of findings. About you Tertiary qualifications in area of environmental science / engineering, natural resource management or related field. Experience in managing and overseeing Erosion and Sediment Control, Ecology, Cultural Heritage, Water Management programs in sensitive environments. Experience with various environmental monitoring equipment and interpretation of results. Ability to build rapport with a wide range of stakeholders. Hold a current Australian drivers licence.
