Job Opportunity
The Coordinator - Communities for Children role is a maximum term position based at Deception Bay and working as part of the leadership team. The role oversees our Communities for Children (CfC) program, including supporting and leading the team to ensure we deliver on our role as Facilitating Partner.
* Manage contract and drive community consultation.
* Work collaboratively with stakeholders to identify strategies and codesign service models.
* Lead the team in the delivery of community development activities and project work that builds capacity and drives the development of an integrated and skilled local service system.
This is a maximum term position funded until 30 June 2026. Subject to continued funding, the position may lead to a permanent position.
Key Requirements
* Passion, commitment, and belief in young people.
* Degree level qualifications in community development, social work, human services, or similar and a minimum of 3 years' experience in leading child and family initiatives.
* Demonstrated skills in community development and ability to build effective, collaborative, and supportive partnerships.
The ideal candidate will understand relationships are key and be skilled in bringing key stakeholders on board and developing high-level strategic relationships. They will bring a strong understanding of the local community or demonstrated ability to quickly acquire it.
