We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with experience in maintaining and repairing complex equipment and machinery.
About the Role
This role will involve performing routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting equipment issues, and carrying out repairs to ensure the efficient operation of plant equipment and machinery.
The ideal candidate will have a clear understanding of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, as well as excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform planned maintenance tasks on equipment, machinery, and facilities in accordance with schedules.
* Respond to equipment and machinery breakdowns and carry out necessary repairs.
* Support the installation, relocation, and modification of equipment and machinery.
* Awareness of continuous improvement opportunities through maintenance activity and communicate potential improvements.
* Ensure accurate records of maintenance activity.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A relevant vocational qualification (NVQ, ONC, C&G) with an appropriate apprenticeship.
* Minimum 1 year's experience post-apprenticeship within a maintenance environment.
Desirable Qualifications
The following qualifications are desirable but not essential:
* 3+ years' post-apprenticeship maintenance experience.
* Forklift truck license.
* IPAF license.
