About the Role 
Work with the kitchen staff to produce high-quality meals. Practice and teach portion control, quality control, waste control and product preparation techniques. 
Key Responsibilities 
- Deliver high-quality food across all menus, functions, and outlets, ensuring recipes, portion control, and presentation standards are consistently met. 
- Prepare and garnish a wide variety of dishes including sauces, soups, hot meals, salads, sandwiches, desserts, and specialty items. 
- Monitor food quality, storage, and hygiene practices, maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant kitchen environment in line with WH&S; standards. 
- Manage food requisitions and stock levels in accordance with hotel policies and operational needs. 
- Protect and maintain kitchen equipment, complete tasks efficiently, and attend scheduled meetings. 
- Work collaboratively with chefs and service teams, providing excellent guest service and supporting the Executive Chef/Sous Chef as required. 
Skills & Experience 
- Previous experience in a commercial kitchen or hotel setting with strong food product and recipe knowledge. 
- Ability to consistently deliver high-quality dishes with excellent attention to detail and presentation. 
- Solid understanding of food safety, hygiene, portion control, and WH&S; guidelines. 
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure. 
- Team player with good communication skills and a commitment to maintaining positive workplace relationships. 
- Professional grooming, flexibility, and the ability to follow hotel policies and operational procedures.

- Base salary range from $60,000 - $70,000 per year.
