Support Worker – Home & Living (Children Services Casual)

About the role
As a Support Worker, you'll play a vital role in enhancing the lives of people with disabilities and young individuals by providing tailored, person‑centred support. Whether it's daily living assistance, emotional guidance, or community engagement, your work will help create a more inclusive and compassionate society.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality, individualised support to people with disabilities
* Assist with personal care, mobility, and skill development
* Build meaningful connections and provide mentorship and emotional support
* Support community participation and recreational activities
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement support plans
* Advocate for customer rights and promote independence
* Create safe, trauma‑informed environments for young people with complex needs
What You'll Need – Disability and Home & Living
* Experience in disability, aged care, or family/community services
* A current First Aid and CPR Certificate or willingness to obtain
* Valid Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle
* NDIS Worker Check (or willingness to obtain)
* Strong communication, empathy, and problem‑solving skills
* Flexibility to work varied shifts, including days, sleep overs, weekends and public holidays
What You'll Need – Children's Services
* Passionate about human rights and creating positive change
* Empathetic, compassionate, and resilient
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Certificate IV in Disability or Child, Youth & Family Intervention (or willingness to obtain)
* Current First Aid, CPR, Driver's licence & NDIS Worker check or willingness to obtain
* Availability for 24/7 rostered shifts including days, sleep overs, weekends and public holidays
