About the role
We currently have an exciting opportunity for an ATE Engineer to join our engineering team at our Allenby Gardens office. You will design and implement automated test frameworks to ensure product quality and scalability for RF and digital hardware products.

Key Responsibilities

Design comprehensive automated test strategies for prototype validation and 100% production verification coverage.

Develop hardware test jigs, custom fixtures and software scripts (Python, LabVIEW) to interface DUTs with RF instruments (VNAs, Spectrum Analysers, Power Meters).

Optimise test cycle times and data processes to support high-volume manufacturing while maintaining quality standards.

Implement diagnostic routines for component-level failure analysis and yield trend monitoring, providing feedback to R&D and Quality teams.

Maintain and upgrade ATE systems for new product variants and improved reliability.

Collaborate with Hardware and Software teams to integrate Design for Testability (DfT) early in development.

About You

Hold a Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or Computer Science.

Have 3-5+ years developing automated test environments for hardware/RF products.

Demonstrate strong skills in Python, LabVIEW or C# for instrument control and data acquisition.

Have experience with SQL databases and ERP/MES integration.

Understand RF measurement techniques and equipment.

Experience with NI TestStand and LabVIEW highly regarded.

RFI operates manufacturing sites in Victoria and South Australia, both with a proud history in quality, safety and environmental performance. Our two sites include Australia's largest antenna manufacturing facility, producing world class Antenna and Multicoupling Systems for both Domestic and International Markets and the only Australian manufacturing site producing frequency translating repeater systems. One of the few producing RF power amplifiers and RF distribution equipment and which includes:

A vastly experienced team with rare skills in Antenna engineering (design, manufacture and testing), Systems engineering (design, testing and installation),active RF and digital electronic engineering (design, manufacture and testing) and Software engineering (development and testing for manufacture)

The latest antenna and RF design and drafting modelling packages

An anechoic chamber with high power and PIM test environments

An extensive suite of RF and digital test equipment and custom automated test equipment
