Join our Downer Professional Services team and play a key role in delivering complex defence and national security projects that safeguard Australia's future.
Downer Professional Services is comprised of two business units, our Technical, Advisory, and Capability consulting practice and Team Downer, a major service partner to Defence. Together, we are a multi-disciplinary advisory and delivery partner of choice for our clients in Defence and National Security.
Whether you specialise in systems architecture, infrastructure engineering, automation, or messaging solutions, we want to hear from you. If successful in securing a role, your work may involve:
* Designing, developing, and implementing ICT infrastructure solutions to support Defence and government operations.
* Building, integrating, and securing ICT systems in complex, multi-domain environments.
* Managing system configurations, patching, and upgrades to ensure operational resilience.
* Troubleshooting complex ICT issues and providing solutions to optimise performance.
* Collaborating with cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment between technology and strategic objectives.
We're seeking candidates with Defence Industry experience in the following areas:
* Hands-on experience managing hypervisor technologies.
* Experience in contributing to the successful outcome of ICT projects within a Federal Government environment.
* Demonstrated experience with Windows Server administration and troubleshooting.
* Demonstrated experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux administration and troubleshooting.
* Knowledge of scripting for automation (PowerShell, Ansible etc).
* Demonstrated experience delivering documentation to a high standard.
* Demonstrated experience solving complex problems.
* Demonstrated experience working within a high-functioning ICT Team.
Our work is highly complex and confidential, applicants must be Australian citizens with a minimum NV1 security clearance. Additionally, compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements may be necessary. In some cases, this may impose restrictions on individuals with dual nationality, permanent residency, or former nationality of specific countries as outlined in ITAR 126.1.
