The Opportunity
We're looking for a proactive and detail-driven Transport Compliance Officer to join our Adelaide team.
In this role, you'll play a key part in strengthening compliance and safety performance across our operations. Working closely with operational leaders, fleet teams and HSE, you'll ensure our systems, processes and behaviours align with NHVR, Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and WHS requirements.
This is a hands‐on role suited to someone who enjoys being in the detail, influencing stakeholders and driving continuous improvement across a fast‐paced transport environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Conducting internal audits across safety and compliance systems
* Monitoring and reviewing driver fatigue, mass management and vehicle standards
* Managing non‐compliance investigations, including infringements and defect notices
* Providing practical compliance advice to operations, schedulers and leadership teams
* Maintaining and control compliance documentation, records and systems
* Analysing and reporting on compliance performance, trends and risks
* Ensuring alignment with NHVR, Chain of Responsibility and WHS legislation
* Supporting incident investigations and emergency response planning
* Identifying and implementing process improvements across the network
Skills and Experience
* Strong knowledge of heavy vehicle compliance, NHVR and CoR legislation
* Experience in transport, logistics or fleet compliance roles
* Ability to interpret legislation and apply it operationally
* Experience conducting audits and managing compliance systems
* Confident communicator able to influence stakeholders at all levels
* Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and risk management
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and compliance deadlines
