About the role

The Kalgoorlie Nickel Project is seeking an experienced Land & Heritage Manager to lead the management of KNPL's tenement portfolio, land access, and Aboriginal heritage obligations. This role plays a critical part in securing KNPL's land position, ensuring statutory compliance, and building strong, respectful relationships with Traditional Owners, government agencies, and key stakeholders. Working closely with the Head of Approvals & Compliance and the broader project team, you will guide land strategy, manage heritage processes, and provide expert advice that supports project progress and risk management.

What you will be doing

Manage KNPL's tenement portfolio in compliance with the WA Mining Act, supported by external tenement consultants.

Develop and maintain reporting systems to communicate tenement compliance and risk.

Coordinate statutory technical reporting with geology teams.

Lodge and manage tenement applications, renewals, transfers, and critical obligations.

Maintain accurate GIS tenure and land access records, including legal agreements.

Support finance with tenement expenditure tracking and assist with land disturbance monitoring and MRF reporting.

Prepare PoWs and coordinate compliance from application through to close‐out.

Maintain and execute KNPL's land strategy for the Goongarrie Hub.

Negotiate and secure land access agreements, including Warden's Court processes and Native Title Tribunal procedures.

Conduct due diligence on tenement and project acquisitions.

Administer tenure and land access agreements, including JV, farm‐in, and mineral rights agreements.

Manage Aboriginal heritage surveys, field monitors, and compliance with Native Title agreements.

Coordinate Section 18 applications and consultation processes.

Liaise with regulatory agencies, legal counsel, landowners, and industry bodies on land access and heritage matters.

Provide land and heritage advice to KNPL project and approvals teams and represent KNPL at industry forums.

What we are looking for

Extensive 7+ years' experience managing mining tenements and Aboriginal heritage in WA.

Strong understanding of the Mining Act 1978, Aboriginal Heritage Act 1972, and relevant guidelines.

Tertiary qualifications in Geology, GIS, Law, Environmental Science, or related fields (desirable)

Experience in WA mining and/or exploration environments.

Proficiency with DMIRS online systems.

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

QGIS experience or transferable GIS capability.

Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Current WA drivers licence.

Ability to travel to Kalgoorlie and site as required.
