RAES Employment Services Team Leader
Understanding the Program
This role sits within the Remote Australia Employment Service (RAES) program, a federally funded initiative delivered by ALPA in communities across Arnhem Land. RAES is a strengths‑based approach to remote employment, supporting job seekers through skills development, mentoring and tailored employment pathways with a focus on community‑led priorities.
About the Role
As a RAES Employment Services Team Leader, you will play a critical role in supporting participants to achieve sustainable employment outcomes under the RAES program. This position focuses on delivering tailored, culturally safe and strengths‑based services, including job placement, employment retention and employer engagement.
* Lead and manage a team responsible for Employment Placement Support
* Develop and manage Employment Placement Support plans
* Track participant progress across 4, 12, 26 and 52‑week milestones
* Ensure accurate claims submission and compliance with RAES standards
* Engage with employers to secure and maintain employment opportunities
* Lead and coach team members to deliver high‑quality outcomes
* Maintain EPS plans as live documents and record all activities in the system
* Claim Employer Incentive Funding and ensure timely payments
* Submit accurate reports and maintain supporting evidence
* Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement
What You Need to Succeed
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Cultural competence and understanding of remote contexts
* Attention to detail and commitment to compliance
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to change
* Leadership and team management experience
* Proficiency in employment services systems and IT tools
* Experience in employment services or case management (RAES/CDP familiarity desirable)
