A modern care home located in Delacombe in south-western Ballarat. Our home consists of five resident communities, each with a dedicated team to look after your care needs. It consists of 144 beds, with dementia and high care units. Our primary goal is placing our focus on the health, lifestyle and well-being of our residents.
**About the Role**
Are you looking to join a team with world class culture? We are looking for a passionate Recreational Officer to join our team at Ballarat on a Casual basis. As the Recreational Activities Officer, you will drive the energy, engagement, and participation of residents into a range of social, recreational, and cultural activities. You will also lead mental health and wellbeing programs which empower our resident's choices and independence.
**Duties**
- Plan, organise, and lead activities for our residents that will meet social and recreational needs while also promoting independence and increasing quality of life.
- Assess and document the effectiveness of the programs, by tracking residents' progress and changing the programs as needed
**Skills and Experience**
- Minimum of a Cert III in Leisure and Lifestyle
- Senior First Aid Certificate is essential
- Previous experience within an aged or community care setting
- Highly developed organisation and time management skills
- The ability to solve problems independently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- An understanding of Resident Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards and Outcomes
