Proudly Australian owned and established in 2010, Cornell Design has provided professional, mechanical, structural and electricaldesign drafters to work within our clients' design and engineering teams when they require additional or specialist capacity.
We deliver drafting and design services across nearly all industry sectors that include defence, water, medical, food and beverage, beer and wine, manufacturing, infrastructure, mining and sport.

At Cornell Design your focus will be on:
* Providing proficient designcapacity and expertise to our clients of various sizes both on their sites across Adelaide and within our offices based at Melrose Park
* Seamless integration into clients' mechanical, structural and electrical design teams to help them achieve their desired outcomes and meet project deadlines
* Appropriate management of clients' expectations based on Cornell Design's belief that the clients' needs come first
* Solve design challenges and work efficiently
To be successful in this opportunity you will:
* Have completed a trade-based qualification and spent a substantial number of years as a tradesperson 'on the tools' before taking your steps into CAD. (Toolmaker, CNC machinist, Fitter & Turner, Welder & Boilermaker or Electrician) a Diploma, Advanced Diploma would be an advantage.
* Offer significant post-qualification design and drafting workplace experience in design packages for mechanical applications would be Inventor, SolidWorks, AutoCAD and for Structural would be Revit and Advanced Steel.Other packages are also highly regarded
* Have the capacity to adapt quickly and 'hit the ground running' in getting up to speed with our clients' specific requirements and drawing standards
* Your ability to quickly immerse and make a positive contributionto new teams will be essential
