Knox Private Hospital is looking for an Associate Nurse Unit Manager to work across our 30 bed Orthopaedic, Neurosurgical and Medical Ward.About us: Knox Private Hospital is one of the largest private hospitals in Victoria, caring for over 1.2 million people across Melbourne's east and outer east.
We have a 24/7 Emergency Department, a full range of medical and surgical specialty areas, 15 theatres (including a hybrid theatre), diagnostic cardiology, two cardiac cath labs and capabilities for cardiothoracic surgery, orthopaedics, neurosurgery, urology and more.
Our soon to be expanded coronary care unit and intensive care unit support the expert care team of surgeons, specialist doctors and dedicated nurses.Role: Associate Nurse Unit Manager (Orthopaedic/Neurosurgery).
Your responsibilities will include:
Facilitate a learning culture to ensure continuous improvement
Maintain professional and constructive working relationships with VMO partners, using a customer service mindset, to enable high quality patient outcomes
Provide clinical operational direction for the unit to ensure efficient and effective management by coordinating the delivery of nursing care that is evidence based
Be accountable and responsible for the effective daily management of human, financial and material resources
Coordinate and drive clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives
Undertaking direct patient care, as required
Selection CriteriaCurrent Registration with AHPRAWorking with Children check3+ years orthopaedic, neurology or surgical experienceMust be able to work rotational night shiftsCurrent or previous ANUM, shift manager or clinical nurse specialist experience (desirable)Sound clinical knowledgeCompliance with ACQSHC National standardsExemplary interpersonal and communication skillsPositive role modelling behavioursExcellent customer service focus, time management and prioritisationAbility to manage a dynamic and changing environmentHigh degree of computer literacy including MS Office and various databasesWhy Healthscope?
