At Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD), we are committed to Trusted Care, Better Health for Everyone, and we are seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 to join our Sustaining NSW Families (SNF) Program.
About the Opportunity
As a Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 within the Sustaining NSW Families Program, you will play a pivotal role in delivering advanced, specialist nursing care to families with children aged 0–5 years. This position is integral in supporting families with complex needs through early intervention, health promotion, and developmental guidance.
You will provide clinical leadership, promote best practice, and contribute to service innovation to improve outcomes for children and families across the Central Coast.
In this role you will:
* Deliver complex, evidence-based nursing care including health screening, developmental assessments, and care planning.
* Provide expert advice and support to families on infant feeding, parenting, and child development.
* Lead and mentor staff, acting as a clinical resource within Child & Family Health.
* Facilitate group programs and contribute to health promotion initiatives.
* Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and external service providers.
* Contribute to quality improvement activities and the development of clinical policies and procedures.
* Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation to support continuity of care.

About You
We are looking for a compassionate and experienced nurse who is passionate about supporting children and families. You will bring strong clinical expertise along with leadership capability to drive best practice care.
You will have:
* Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
* Postgraduate qualifications in Child & Family Health (or equivalent).
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in the relevant clinical specialty.
* Demonstrated ability to deliver complex care and advanced clinical assessments for families with young children.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with vulnerable families.
* Proven ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and independently when required.
* Experience in clinical leadership, education, and quality improvement initiatives.
* Current unrestricted NSW Driver’s Licence, Working with Children Check, and National Criminal Record Check.
