Contract till 10 May 2026, part-time 0.6 EFT (3 days per week – Mon – Wed), based at Alfred ICYAMHWS in Moorabbin, on the Developmental Assessment & Management Program (DAMP), which is part of the Neurodevelopmental Stream.
Alfred Health is a leader in health care delivery, improvement, research and education. We are the main provider of health services to people living in the inner southeast suburbs of Melbourne, from ambulatory to inpatient and home and community-based services.
Responsibilities
* Work with the multi-disciplinary team to contribute to developmental assessment, subsequent formulation, case management and support to families and the child's or young person's external network.
Department
The DAMP team provides neurodevelopmental assessments for children and young people aged 3 - 26 years. There is usually a question of Autism Spectrum Disorder, amidst other co-occurring conditions and bio-psycho-social factors that complicate diagnostics and contribute to co-occurring social, emotional and behavioural concerns.
Qualifications And Experience Required
* Bachelor and/or Masters of Occupational Therapy or equivalent from a recognised school of Occupational Therapy
* Registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia (via AHPRA)
* Eligibility for membership to O.T. Australia
* Demonstrated clinical expertise in child and youth mental health
