The Role – Austral Meat
Based at Gepps Cross, this role is within our modern, market-leading retail butcher shop, servicing both retail and food service customers. We are seeking a fully qualified Retail Butcher with high standards of presentation, workmanship, and food safety.
This role reports to the Retail Manager

Qualifications (Essential)
* Certificate III in Meat Processing (Retail Butcher)
* Applicants who are not fully qualified will not be considered

Duties & Responsibilities
* Retail butchery duties within Austral Meat Market
* Producing high-quality cuts and value-added products for retail sale
* Exceptional retail presentation standards
* Breaking and boning of lamb and pork
* Following cutting sheets and specifications accurately
* Maintaining food safety and hygiene standards
* Regular heavy lifting – physical fitness required
* Working both independently and as part of a close-knit team
